How to Adjust Creator Retainers and Post Requirements in a Campaign

Once a creator has joined your campaign, you can edit their individual retainer amount and post requirements at any time — giving you full control over expectations and compensation per creator. Here’s how to do it:

Step-by-step

  1. Open your campaign

    • From your Brand Dashboard, choose the campaign that already includes the creator.

  2. Locate the creator

    • Select the Creators tab inside the campaign to see every participant.

  3. Click the pencil icon

    • On the far right of the creator’s row you will see a small pencil. Click it.

    • A side panel titled Override [Creator Name] slides in.

  4. Update post requirements

    • In How many posts is the creator required to publish? enter the new total.

    • You can change this at any time, so feel free to adjust as your campaign evolves.

  5. Adjust the retainer amount

    • In How much would you like to pay this creator? type the new dollar amount.

    • This is the recurring or upfront retainer that will appear on their invoice.

  6. Save your changes

    • Hit Save changes in the lower-right corner.

    • The panel closes, and the new values are reflected in the table immediately.

What happens next

  • Instant visibility: The creator sees the updated posts and retainer inside their dashboard within seconds.

  • Audit trail: Every edit is logged, so you and the creator can reference the history any time.

Tips

  • You can override terms as many times as needed.

  • Use the same pencil icon to lower or increase deliverables mid-campaign.

  • Keep communication clear: if you make a big change, send the creator a quick note in Slack or email so expectations stay aligned.
