When should I use this workflow?
You want to recruit TikTok Shop affiliates at scale
You're running a product seeding or gifting campaign
You want creators to receive a product and post about it with a shoppable link
You want the highest possible collab acceptance rate
Important: Growi can send up to 1,000 DMs and 2,500 Target Collab invitations per day. Using both at the same time is the most effective approach — the DM drives attention, the invite makes it easy to accept. |
Step 1 — Open the workflow builder
Log in to your Growi dashboard.
In the left sidebar, click Find Creators under AI Workflows.
Click Create Workflow in the top-right corner.
Step 2 — Choose your goal
You will be asked: What do you want to automate?
Select Send physical products or samples.
Step 3 — Choose your channel
Select TikTok Shop as your channel.
Enter a name for your workflow. This can be changed at any time.
Note: Make sure your TikTok Shop store is connected to Growi before continuing. You can verify this on the Review screen — it will show Connected next to the store. |
Step 4 — Choose your offer type
Select Message + Target Collab.
Step 5 — Configure your product and offer
Product selection
Click Select product and choose one or more products from your TikTok Shop. Once a product is selected, set the commission rates:
Field | What it means |
Commission % | The affiliate commission rate for sales driven through the creator's video content. |
Ads Commission % | The commission for creators running your product in TikTok Spark Ads. Set higher to incentivise ad performance. If you are not running Spark Ads, set this to the same rate as your standard commission. |
Offer free samples
Toggle on to allow creators to request a free sample as part of the collab offer. Choose how requests are handled:
Option | How it works |
Manually Review Requests | You approve each request individually before a sample is shipped. Best for high-value products or when you want control over who receives stock. |
Auto Approve Requests | Every request is approved immediately without manual review. Best for low-cost products or high-volume campaigns. |
Auto Resolve Conflicts
When enabled, creators already invited to a Target Collab for the same product in a previous workflow are automatically moved to your new invitation.
Toggle on Exclude recently invited creators and set a cutoff date to skip creators who were recently invited and may still be engaging. For example, set this to 2 weeks ago to protect anyone invited in the last 2 weeks.
Valid Until
Warning: Set the expiry date at least 3 months out. Creators need time to request samples, receive them, create content, and post. Once the collab expires, creators lose the shoppable link in their videos. TikTok has a limit of 1,000 active Target Collabs — Growi automatically deletes invitations with 0 acceptances after 2 weeks to keep your limit clear. |
Step 6 — Select your creators
Choose which creators will receive this workflow. There are three ways to select them:
Method | What it does |
Search creators | Browse and filter Growi's database of 1M+ creators. Best for building a new pipeline from scratch. |
Existing creators | Pull from creators already in your Growi account — past campaigns, contracts, collections, previous workflows, or TikTok Shop data. |
Import creators | Paste TikTok handles one per line or upload a CSV. Use this when you have a specific list sourced externally. |
To filter Search creators, click the Filters button. Filters are split across three tabs:
Tab | What you can filter by |
Creators | Product category, avg. commission rate, country, email available, TikTok Shop status. |
Followers | Follower age, follower gender, follower count. |
Performance | GMV, items sold, avg. views per video, engagement rate, avg. LIVE viewers, brand collaborations, Growi Score. |
Note: See the Filtering & Finding Creators guide for a full breakdown of every filter. See Understanding Creator Profiles to learn how to evaluate a creator before adding them. |
Step 7 — Craft your message
Collaboration details
These details appear to creators inside TikTok Shop when they view the invitation:
Field | What it does |
Collaboration Name | The name of the collaboration visible to creators in TikTok Shop. Max 30 characters. |
Collaboration Message | A message shown to creators in TikTok Shop when they view the invitation. Max 500 characters. Required for target collaborations. |
DM Composer
Write the direct message sent to each creator on TikTok. Use personalisation variables to make it feel individual:
Variable | What it inserts |
{{creatorName}} | The creator's display name. |
{{tikTokUsername}} | The creator's TikTok handle. |
Toggle Personalize message with AI to let Growi automatically personalise each message based on the creator's profile. You can also attach an image to your message.
Note: You cannot include sensitive words like 'Amazon', 'Amz', or similar terms in TikTok messages. Growi will flag these before you can proceed. |
Follow-up messages (optional)
Add timed follow-ups to increase response rates. Set a delay (e.g. 1 day, 3 days) and write a short message. Click + Add another follow-up to chain multiple messages.
Event-based follow-ups (optional)
Automated messages that fire when specific milestones occur. Events must be configured in the order they occur:
Event | When it triggers |
1. Added to Showcase | When the creator is added to your TikTok Shop showcase. |
2. Sample Requested | When a creator submits a sample request. |
3. Ready to Ship | When you mark their sample as ready to ship. |
4. Sample Shipped | When the sample shows as shipped in tracking. |
5. Sample Received | When delivery is confirmed. |
6. Content Warning | When Growi detects the creator may not be posting as expected. |
7. Content Unfulfilled | When the content deadline has passed with no post. |
Warning: Set event-based follow-ups in the order they occur. Do not configure a later event without first setting up the earlier ones. |
Step 8 — Schedule your workflow
Setting | What to do |
Start Date | Set when Growi should start sending. Leave blank to start immediately on launch. |
Run Indefinitely | Workflow runs until you manually pause or stop it. Best for ongoing outreach. |
End on Specific Date | Workflow stops automatically on a chosen date. Best for time-limited campaigns. |
Step 9 — Review and launch
The Review screen shows a summary of every setting in your workflow. Each section has an Edit button so you can go back and make changes without losing your other settings.
When everything looks correct, click Launch Workflow.
Note: After launching, check back in 24–48 hours to see your first results. You can adjust filters, messages, or settings from the workflow dashboard at any time without rebuilding from scratch. |
