How to Let Brands Manage Their Own Payouts

When would I use this?

If you're running an agency on Growi and managing multiple brands, by default you're the one responsible for all creator payouts. But sometimes a brand wants to handle their own payments — they have their own finance team, their own payment method, and they don't want to go through you every time a payout needs to go out.

Enabling this setting hands that responsibility over to the brand. They connect their own payment method and manage creator payouts directly, without you needing to be involved.

How to enable brand-managed payouts

Step 1 — Go to Settings

In the left sidebar at the bottom, click Settings under the brand.

Step 2 — Stay on the General tab

You'll land on the General tab by default. This is where you need to be — no need to switch tabs.

Step 3 — Find the Billing & Documents section

Scroll down the page until you see the Billing & Documents section. You'll see options for Currency, Terms of Service, and the payout toggle.

Step 4 — Enable 'Let brand manage payouts'

Find the Let brand manage payouts toggle and switch it ON. It will turn purple/blue when active. This gives the brand access to connect their own payment method and process payouts themselves.

Step 5 — Save your settings

Click Save settings in the bottom right corner of the page. The setting is now live for that brand.

What happens after you enable this?

  • The brand will see an option inside their account to connect their own payment method (card or ACH).

  • They can process creator payouts independently going forward.

  • You can turn this off at any time by returning to Settings → General → Billing & Documents and toggling it off.

💡 Tip: This setting is configured per brand. If you manage multiple brands, you'll need to go into each brand's settings individually and enable it for the ones that need it.
