Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Go to Set Alerts
Log in to your Growi account.
In the left sidebar, scroll to AI Workflows and click Set Alerts.
In the top right corner, click Create Workflow.
On the screen that asks What do you want to automate?, click Send SMS messages.
Step 2: Choose Your Creators
You are now on the Creators step. This is where you decide who receives the SMS.
Existing Creators
Select Existing creators.
You will see a card labeled Your creators on Growi showing your total creator count across all campaigns and contracts.
Click the card to select those creators as your audience.
Re-contact Toggle
Below the creator selection, you will see a toggle labeled Re-contact creators already messaged.
When this toggle is OFF: Growi automatically skips any creators who were already messaged in a previous SMS workflow. This prevents duplicate messages.
When this toggle is ON: Growi will message everyone in your selection, even if they were messaged before.
Leave it OFF unless you specifically want to re-message creators. Then click Next.
Step 3: Write Your Message
You are now on the Message step. This is where you compose the SMS that will be sent.
Message Field
Type your message in the text box. Keep it short and to the point β SMS messages work best when they are under 160 characters.
Personalize Message with AI
You will see a toggle labeled Personalize message with AI. When this is ON, Growi AI will automatically customize the message slightly for each creator based on their profile. When it is OFF, every creator receives the exact same message.
Personalization Variables
You can also manually insert creator-specific details into your message using variables. Click the variable buttons below the text box or type them directly:
Variable | What it inserts |
{{creatorName}} | The creator's first name. For example, Hey {{creatorName}}! becomes Hey Alex! |
{{tikTokUsername}} | The creator's TikTok username. |
Add Image (Optional)
Click Add Image if you want to attach a photo or graphic to the message. This converts the SMS into an MMS message, which displays the image directly in the creator's text thread.
When your message is ready, click Next.
Step 4: Set Your Schedule
You are now on the Schedule step.
Start Date
Click the Start Date field and choose when the messages should be sent. If you select today's date, messages will be sent immediately after you launch the workflow.
End Date
Choose one of the following:
Option | What it means |
Run Indefinitely | The workflow stays active until you manually stop it. |
End on Specific Date | The workflow stops automatically on the date you set. |
Click Next when done.
Step 6: Review and Launch
You are now on the Review step. You will see a summary showing:
Goal: Your workflow name.
Creators: Who will receive the message.
Message: The SMS content.
Schedule: When it will send.
Check everything carefully. Click Edit next to any section to go back and make changes.
When everything is correct, click Launch Workflow.
Note: SMS messages are sent immediately if the start date is today or in the past. If the start date is in the future, messages will queue and send on that date.
