How to Do a Custom Payout from a Creator's Profile

When would I use this?

Sometimes you need to pay a creator something outside of their regular campaign payout. Maybe it's a performance bonus because they smashed their targets, a one-off fee for product seeding, or a goodwill payment for going above and beyond. Whatever the reason, you can create a custom payout for any specific creator directly from their profile — without it needing to be tied to a campaign.

This keeps the payment linked to the right creator in your records while giving you full flexibility on the amount, description, and payment method.

How to create a custom payout

Step 1 — Go to Creator Database

In the left sidebar under CRM, click Creator Database. This is where all your onboarded creators live.

Step 2 — Open the creator's profile

Find the creator you want to pay and click on their name or row to open their full profile.

Step 3 — Go to the Payouts tab

At the top of the creator's profile, you'll see several tabs: Overview, Posts, Payouts, TikTok Shop performance, and more. Click Payouts.

Step 4 — Click Custom Payout

In the top right of the Payouts tab, click the Custom Payout button.

Step 5 — Fill in the payout details

A Create Custom Payout modal will appear. Fill in the following fields:

  • Amount ($) — Enter exactly how much you want to pay this creator.

  • Description — Add a clear note on what this payment is for (e.g. 'Q1 performance bonus', 'Product seeding fee', 'UGC bonus April').

  • Payment Method — Choose how you want to pay: ACH (bank transfer, no fee, 3–5 days), Credit Card (immediate, 3% fee), or Balance (instant, uses your pre-funded balance).

  • Tags (optional) — Add any tags to help categorise this payout for reporting.

Step 6 — Click Generate Invoice

Once you've filled everything in, click Generate Invoice. The payout is created, an invoice is generated for the creator, and the payment is processed according to your chosen method.

💡 Tip: Custom payouts show up in both the creator's individual payout history and your main Activity log, so your records stay complete. They're the go-to option for any payment that doesn't fit neatly inside a campaign structure.
